Aldrich Lane ParkLocated on Aldrich Lane, this large property currently has an athletic field. Registration information is obtained by calling the District Office. Basketball courts are also available. The Mattituck Park District Grounds and Maintenance building is located here.
Portion of Aldrich Lane south of the fence belongs to the Mattituck-Cutchogue School District, including the Basketball courts.
Bay Avenue ParkThis is the site of an existing Little League playing field, a small parking area, two tennis courts, and a small wetlands area along James Creek.
Bay Blvd Baseball Field and BeachLocated along Peconic Bay Boulevard, this site has been developed as a (75') baseball field, a parking area, and a beach for Mattituck Park District residents' use. There are no bathroom facilities (other than a port-o-potty) or lifeguard on duty during the summer season. There is parking for residents with beach permits. The Mattituck Yacht Club neighbors our property to the west.
Veterans Memorial ParkLocated on Peconic Bay at the terminus of Bay Avenue, Mattituck Park District Office is situated here as well as park buildings, new Community Room for residential use, parking areas, bocce court, shuffleboard and horseshoe pitch, as well as a life guarded beach area with restrooms and outdoor shower. A beach wheelchair is available for disabled patrons. There is a Community Room, available for meetings and community events. This prime bay front location with sweeping views of Peconic Bay is now available for rent. Please call District Office for details.
There is a picnic/Bar-B-Que area located to the west on this site and is available for residential use. Bookings are made in advance by contacting the District Office. The area has water and electricity, picnic tables, use of restrooms, access to the beach and on site parking.
During the summer season beach entrance by car requires a season pass for residents or a day Guest Pass obtained from the beach attendant located at the entrance. $5 season pass (or $10/2 yr) are available for residents that may be used at all Mattituck Beach parking areas. Day Guest Passes are available for nonresidents at this station for $15 guest pass per car. There is a fenced in Children's Play Ground complete with swings and climbing apparatus for children's use located on the property.
Community Room at Veterans ParkThis newly created contemporary room located at Veterans Park is available for residents to enjoy for all types of gatherings. A beautiful setting, located on the sandy beach at Peconic Bay, it boasts fabulous marine vistas and views of Southampton.
Our newly created room was designed by local resident and interior designer, Sandford Hanauer, who donated his services. The building is dedicated to our Mattituck heroes, Pvt. Russell M. Penny and Sgt. Peter P. Krupski. Mattituck High School art students painted the murals on the east and west walls that adorn the Community Room. We thank all the many residents who volunteered their services and contributions to establish this delightful meeting/party room for community enjoyment.
Bailie Beach ParkLocated on the east side of Mattituck Inlet, this park has a quiet sandy beach, dunes, and a tidal wetland natural area that are home to a variety of birds. Bailie Beach Lodge is located in the upland area. Local Boy Scout and Girl Scout Troops frequently use this park and beach area. Other Scout troops from outside the area may use this facility by permit only.
Nestled in the dunes along Long Island Sound, with space to accommodate 150 people, the Lodge is a scenic location to host family and group functions. In the main hall, there are tables and chairs provided, a large commercial kitchen, and restrooms. This prime waterfront location has panoramic views of the inlet and creek as well as Long Island Sound.
The Lodge is available for rental including on site parking. For details please call District Office.
Breakwater Beach and ParkLocated on the west side of Mattituck Inlet, it is a life guarded Long Island Sound beach with restrooms, outdoor shower, playground, and parking areas for residents with proper parking permits. There is a beach wheelchair available for the disabled patrons. This location also includes beach volleyball courts where leagues play during the summer season. Residents may use the volley ball courts when not being used by leagues. Day passes for beach parking are available for nonresidents at $15 guest pass per car and may be obtained from the attendant at the beach gate. Residents may purchase a season pass for $5 season pass (or $10/2 yr).
Marratooka Lake ParkThis parcel of land and lake along the south side of Main Road in Mattituck has been preserved for open space, bird watching, and scenic use.
Mattituck Creek Boat Launch and ParkLocated along the North Road (Route 48) at the head of the Mattituck Creek, this area is considered tidal wetlands. There are benches to view the creek, marinas, and homes along the waterfront to create a charm that is very inviting not only to local boaters and residents but visitors who sail and motor from many distant places. Parking is by permit only and is limited to Park District residents. Keys for launching boats will be available either on site or at the district office on Peconic Bay Blvd. The fee is $15 for the ramp pass and the key. The site has a restroom facility that is equipped with showers. The picnic area has a table and bar-b-que with parking for cars and trailers.
Wolf Pit LakeLocated on Wickham Avenue, this scenic lake, sometimes referred to as a pond, is used for bird watching and quiet relaxation.
